Scaling up the insights from the user research conducted by the Design team to the whole startup, making real user feedback closer to the company's decision making.
“How can we democratise Design user research insights to the whole startup?”
. Implementing the Nuggets knowledge base: Helping to structure the knowledge base where user research insights were digitally registered (and which we named "collection of nuggets")
. Educating and advocating: Conducting educational presentations about the relevance of our “Collection of Nuggets” to QuintoAndar's Design team, other departments and the external design community in open events.
. Continuous improvement: Iterating the process of registering and accessing nuggets in the platform within the design team, making adjustments and trying to optimise and mitigate barriers along the process.
This was one of the initiative that I developed inside QuintoAndar's Design Ops team. As User Experience Research Specialist my contributions involved:
UX Research Specialist: mentoring, implementing, improving and advocating for research tools and best practices.

Results
Making user feedback closer to the company's decision making

. Atomic Research Approach adapted and implemented: a knowledge base's structure and the definition of frameworks about how to upload and access the insights.
. Design & Product team engagement: one of the main success indicators was the engagement of designers and other expertises inside the Product department on researching in the platform and using the insights as part of their product development process. The “Collection of Nuggets” made it faster and easier to anyone to access and use real user feedback about the startup products.
. Open template to external product community: a public article on Medium where I explain in more details how to create your own “Collection of Nuggets”, with an open free template on Notion to duplicate and adapt to your company's context.
Tools are there to make designers' lives easier and need to be continuously reviewed and adjusted
Food for thought
Like any design process, we were iterating and there were challenges that still needed to be considered. One of them was that other areas of the company, as inside sales and customer support, also generate important inputs from users. How can we connect these inputs to centralise and enrich the knowledge base?
